OpenAI Launches GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst: Adds GIFs, SVG Export and 6-Second API Generation
OpenAI has released Images 2.6, alongside two new API models, GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst. Flare can generate an image in as little as six seconds, and both models add animated GIF output, SVG export, markup-based edits and a complexity control. The update makes OpenAI's image generation faster and more useful for design and product work, where editable vector output and quick iteration matter.
