Video AI company Sand.ai closes a $200 million Series A+ round
Sand.ai, a video foundation-model company, has closed a $200 million Series A+ round, with industrial capital, RMB and USD funds and Shanghai state-backed investors joining and existing shareholders adding more. The round was co-led by CoStone Capital and Wangsu. It matters because the size of the cheque shows capital is still flowing heavily into video generation, one of the most compute-hungry corners of AI.
