How should embodied AI play its second half? Zhiyuan gave its answer at a launch event

At its A.I. DAY event on October 29 in Shanghai, Zhiyuan responded to doubts about whether robot makers still matter after GPT-6 Astra showed strong embodied-control capabilities. It proposed Worken, or effective intelligent work hours, defined as active robots multiplied by autonomous working time multiplied by output efficiency ratio, and argued that China producing over 100,000 robots this year does not equal real productivity. The metric matters because it tries to separate robots genuinely doing useful work from shipment hype and remote-operated demos.
