Oil giant Saudi Aramco to acquire a 49% stake in Saudi AI firm HUMAIN
Saudi Aramco will acquire 49% of HUMAIN, the AI company previously wholly owned by the Saudi sovereign fund PIF, which will keep the remaining 51%. Aramco will invest by transferring key AI assets and injecting about 9.9 billion Saudi riyals, and plans to use HUMAIN's AI infrastructure for industrial applications. The deal matters because it ties the world's largest oil producer directly to Saudi Arabia's flagship AI company, in a multi-billion-dollar, state-backed AI expansion.
