Another former OpenAI executive starts a company: founded this year, valued at 5.8 billion yuan
Former OpenAI chief product officer Kevin Weil has unveiled his AI research startup Warp Sciences, which has raised a 215 million dollar Series A led by Lightspeed Ventures, with IVP, Premji Invest and Lux Capital also participating. The round values the company at 865 million dollars. The size of such an early round shows investors are still willing to back senior OpenAI alumni building new AI research labs.
