Volkswagen China Launches VEGA, Its First Locally Developed Integrated Technology Matrix, Covering Vehicle Platforms, E/E Architecture and Intelligent Assisted Driving

At its first China Technology Day, Volkswagen Group China unveiled VEGA, an integrated technology matrix developed locally in China combining vehicle platforms, the CEA electrical/electronic architecture and advanced driver assistance. It claims to make Volkswagen the only foreign automaker in China with a locally developed technology matrix, with the CMP platform covering mainstream A-segment models and CSP targeting full-size flagships. It matters as a sign of how far foreign automakers are localizing intelligent EV development to compete in China.
