After Nvidia 3 billion dollars: AMD also announces a 1 billion dollar investment in Meta to deepen AI infrastructure cooperation, covering EPYC, Instinct GPUs and ROCm software
AMD will invest 1 billion dollars in Meta equity offering, deepening cooperation on CPUs, GPUs, networking, systems and software for Meta AI infrastructure, following Nvidia 3 billion dollars. AMD Helios rack-scale systems are already installed and testing at Meta, EPYC processors power the compute environment behind the Muse personal AI assistant, and Instinct GPUs already run training and recommendation workloads. It matters because a second chip giant buying Meta equity ties chip roadmaps directly to Meta gigawatt-scale AI buildout.
