Thinking Machines Releases Inkling 2 Small, a 594B Agent-First Model
Thinking Machines has released Inkling 2 Small, a 594B-parameter mixture-of-experts model with 17B active parameters that scores 31 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. It is built agent-first and is available for fine-tuning and inference on the Tinker platform, with a full weight release planned soon. It matters because it is claimed to be the highest-scoring open-weights model developed outside China, which would strengthen the Western open-model ecosystem.
