Nvidia targets AI software subscription revenue, with Jensen Huang proposing about $2,000 per GPU per year
At the Berlin GTC on October 22, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the full software suite for running AI agents on AI factories would cost about $2,000 per GPU per year. Under a scenario cited in the report, 5 million GPUs under paid licences would bring in $10 billion a year, or $50 billion over five years if customers keep renewing. It matters because Nvidia is signalling that software licensing will become an increasingly important business alongside its chips, as it builds an AI infrastructure business spanning chips, software and agent safety.
