China's MIIT tightens network-access rules for AI agent devices, standardizing device–agent compatibility
China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice tightening network-access management for AI agent terminals such as phones, tablets and wearables. Devices with pre-installed agents must pass agent-compatibility checks in network-access testing, agents should carry a unique identity code, and terminals face upfront anti-fraud security assessments.
