Meta will raise about $35 billion by issuing common and preferred shares
Meta will raise about $35 billion through a forward sale of roughly $22.5 billion of Class A common stock plus about $12.5 billion of depositary shares, issuing up to 250 million Series A depositary shares. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom will buy up to $5 billion of Class A shares. It matters because the raise funds Meta’s huge AI investment while bringing three key chip suppliers in as shareholders.
