China Mobile plans over 100 billion yuan in computing investment next year, with intelligent computing capacity doubling for two straight years
China Mobile said it plans to raise total procurement above 500 billion yuan in 2027, including more than 100 billion yuan of computing investment and more than 100 billion yuan of terminal purchases. The carrier is building several gigawatt-scale computing campuses — three broke ground this year and two more will follow next year, bringing the total to seven — and expects intelligent computing capacity to double in each of the next two years. The scale matters because it is one of the largest state-backed AI infrastructure buildouts, signalling sustained demand for chips, data centres and power.
