AI finds 4 bugs in popular industrial control software in under 4 hrs
Causal Security's autonomous agent Cipher found four previously unknown vulnerabilities in the EPICS industrial control toolkit in 3 hours 49 minutes, including a critical 9.8-rated flaw that could allow remote code execution. EPICS is used in around 90 major scientific and industrial facilities, including Argonne's Advanced Photon Source and the ITER fusion reactor, and CISA has urged users to update to version 7.0.11.
