Apple Intelligence is coming to China
Apple has announced that the first Apple Intelligence features will come to China, starting with the latest iOS developer beta on November 4 and the official iOS 27.3 release in December. The rollout covers live translation, writing tools, visual intelligence, Clean Up in Photos, Genmoji and more. Some experiences integrate Alibaba's Qwen for text and image understanding in Siri, writing tools and visual intelligence. It matters because it ends a long wait for Apple's AI features in mainland China and shows Apple's localization route through a local model partner.
