SpaceX reportedly in talks to acquire Boost Mobile, challenging America's telecom Big Three
The Washington Post reports that SpaceX is in talks with EchoStar to acquire Boost Mobile or gain access to its network, as part of a plan to build a satellite-ground hybrid mobile network under Starlink Mobile. With Boost's roughly 7.38 million wireless users and an earlier $8 billion spectrum deal behind it, the move would give SpaceX a ready customer base and distribution to challenge AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
