At its investor day on October 28, 2026, Oracle said it plans to expand AI compute capacity from about 1GW in FY25 to about 3GW in FY26 and a planned 10GW by FY28. Its remaining performance obligations grew 4.6 times in a year, from $138B at the end of FY25 to $638B at the end of FY26, about $500B of new contracted business in 12 months. This matters because the backlog and the capacity plan show how large Oracle's contracted AI infrastructure demand has become, and how much build-out it expects to deliver.
