Abu Dhabi and OpenAI sign four agreements to cooperate in government, energy and investment
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Khaled met OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and witnessed the signing of four cooperation agreements covering government, energy and investment. Under the deals, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company will deploy OpenAI technology, becoming the first energy company to do so, and Abu Dhabi will launch a machine-readable government program that turns some policies and regulations into machine-readable form to help officials assess compliance. The agreements matter because they show a state government adopting AI across both its flagship industry and its own administration, not just buying a product.
