Chinese spies targeted Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, according to The New York Times

US intelligence agencies believe Alice Huang of Singapore-based data center operator Megaspeed, who is close to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, is an informant passing information to Beijing, according to The New York Times, and the US suspects Megaspeed of helping China obtain Nvidia chips, including at least $4.8 billion in AI hardware bought by a Malaysian sister company between June 2024 and February 2026. President Trump was briefed about a year ago and did nothing, Jensen Huang was not warned, and Nvidia says he receives no sensitive information while Megaspeed has opened an internal investigation. The case matters because it puts enforcement of AI chip export controls and trust inside Nvidia's inner circle at the center of the US-China technology rivalry.
