Norwegian media sue Meta over plans to use their journalism for AI
Ten Norwegian media organisations, including public broadcaster NRK, Schibsted, Amedia, Polaris, Aller and news agency NTB, have asked the Oslo District Court for a provisional injunction against Meta's new terms. The terms, delayed from 30 October to 20 November, would let Meta collect articles, photos and videos, including paywalled content, and use them to develop AI products, with no opt-out short of deleting accounts.
