We saw a glimpse of the future of swarm coding. Agent swarms will fundamentally change how we build software.

Axiom announced a complete Lean auto-formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups, a proof of about 15,000 pages built by over 100 mathematicians across generations, now rendered as roughly 50 million lines of Lean and verified in 24 days. A swarm of agents claimed tasks, wrote proofs, reviewed each other and merged work through GitHub, fixing hundreds of major errata in the published proof along the way. It matters because it is the largest proof in mathematics made fully computer-checkable, and a concrete demonstration that agent swarms can carry an entire interconnected body of mathematics, not just isolated theorems.
