AI Chip Startup Yizhu Technology Raises Over ¥1 Billion

Yizhu Technology, China's first AI chip company built on a general-purpose compute-in-memory architecture (GP-IMC®), has raised over ¥1 billion, with the funds earmarked for R&D, product iteration, and industrialization. Operating since 2022, the company pursues a general compute-in-memory plus super-heterogeneous technology path, including 3D DRAM compute-in-memory. The large round shows capital is still betting on compute-in-memory as a way past the von Neumann bottleneck, and competition among domestic AI chipmakers keeps heating up.
