Vercel Ships a Bash Tool That Gives AI Agents Real Shell Access
Vercel has added a first-party Bash tool to its AI SDK, letting agents execute shell commands with pluggable sandboxes ranging from in-memory environments to full virtual machines. It gives agent builders an official, maintained way to grant tool execution instead of hand-rolling their own shell integrations.
