Samsung Electronics to acquire Samsung Display’s entire 10.16% stake in TCL CSOT
Samsung Electronics said it plans to acquire Samsung Display’s entire 10.16% stake in TCL CSOT in December 2026, in a deal valued at 960,372,346.7 US dollars, about RMB 6.412 billion. Samsung Display is a Samsung Electronics subsidiary, 84.78% owned, which had become a key overseas strategic investor in CSOT through a series of deals. The near-billion-dollar reshuffle consolidates Samsung’s panel-industry position in China rather than creating new exposure, but its size still makes it a notable display supply-chain move.
