Pentagon IG refuses to investigate Starlink/Starshield slowdown in Ukraine
The Pentagon inspector general has declined a request from nine US senators, five Democrats and four Republicans, to investigate restrictions on Ukraine's military use of Starlink and its military version, Starshield. Ukraine said earlier in October that military drones lost satellite connectivity above 161 kilometres per hour, a limit that was removed after about ten days. The decision leaves open whether the restrictions were directed by SpaceX or US government bodies and whether they complied with government contracts, questions that bear directly on wartime communications.
