AI Proved the Quasi-Riemann Hypothesis. What Happens Now?
Quanta reports that an OpenAI model produced a proof of the quasi-Riemann hypothesis, a weaker version of the Riemann hypothesis, with one version formally verified in Lean. Number theorists who have studied the proof largely agree it is correct and call it the most significant AI-for-math achievement so far. It does not settle the full Riemann hypothesis, but it shows AI can synthesize existing ideas to crack problems experts thought were out of reach.
